Why contractors use bags on the job

  • Fill it at your own pace

A bag takes a 7 × 4-ft spot and holds 4 cubic yards or 1 ton, and ships free south of the 55 and west of the 241. Your crew fills it as the work goes; you book the pickup when it's full.

  • The crane lifts it out

No steel bin parked on the client's driveway for two weeks. Our crane truck lifts the bag out. Where it can sit depends on the site, so text us the address and we'll tell you.

  • $179 for bags 2 and 3

Hold full bags for one pickup: $279 for the first, $179 for each extra bag on it, up to 3 bags a pickup. Two bags are $516 all in, three are $724.

  • Weighed on site

Up to 2,000 lb a bag is included. Extra weight is verified on-site, and you'll be able to review the scale reading before any additional charges are applied. Over that is $135 a ton.

Bag or dumpster?

The honest comparison.

A roll-off isn't always the right answer. For a lot of small jobs, a bag or two costs less and takes less room. Here is exactly where that stops being true.

One, two or three dumpster bags on one pickup compared with a 12-yard roll-off dumpster
OptionAll inHoldsTons incl.

2 bags, 1 pickup$5168 yd³2
3 bags, 1 pickup$72412 yd³3

Bags win for one or two bags’ worth, and wherever a bin won’t fit or you don’t want one sitting on the driveway for two weeks. Two bags on one pickup are $134 less than the 12-yard.

At three bags’ worth, the 12-yard is $74 cheaper if you have room for it: it holds the same 12 cubic yards and 3 tons. For up to 3 tons of concrete or dirt, three bags ($724) still cost less than our $775 fill-line bin; past that, the bin wins easily.

Homeowners welcome: same bags, same prices

Clearing out a garage or doing your own remodel? You get the same $29 bag, the same $279 pickup and the same $179 for each extra bag on that pickup. Order the bag online and book the pickup when it’s full.

FAQ

Job-site hauling, bag and dumpster questions

Do you work with general contractors on ongoing jobs?

Yes. Call or text (949) 701-0206 with the job address, what's coming out and how often, and we'll set the job up with dumpster bags our crane truck picks up, a roll-off, or both. All invoices are due upon receipt, unless other arrangements have been made. Ask us about account arrangements for ongoing work.

Do homeowners pay different prices?

No. Homeowners get the same bags at the same prices: $29 a bag, $279 for the first pickup and $179 for each extra bag on the same pickup ($516 for two, $724 for three, all in). A bag and a one-bag pickup can be paid online at checkout.

What is a dumpster bag and how much is it?

The Eco Waste Dumpster Bag is $29. It holds 4 cubic yards (7' × 4' × 4') and up to one ton, and ships free south of the 55 and west of the 241. Fill it at your own pace. When it's full, our crane truck picks it up: $279 for the first bag, up to 2,000 lb, and $179 for each additional bag on the same pickup. Over one ton a bag is $135 per ton, from a scale reading you see on site before any extra charge.

Is a second bag cheaper?

Yes, when it's picked up with the first one. The first bag's pickup is $279; every additional bag on that same pickup is $179, which is $100 less. With the $29 bags, two bags are $516 all in ($258 a bag) and three are $724 (about $241 a bag). One pickup takes up to 3 bags; a 4th bag goes on another pickup, which starts again at $279.

Is a dumpster bag cheaper than a roll-off dumpster?

For one or two bags' worth, yes: one bag is $308 and two on one pickup are $516, against $650 for our 12-yard roll-off. At three bags ($724, 12 cubic yards, 3 tons) the 12-yard holds the same and is $74 cheaper if you have room for it. A bag also leaves no steel bin on your driveway for two weeks.

How much does a dumpster cost in Orange County with Eco Waste?

The 12, 15, 16, 20 and 25-yard dumpsters are $650 for a two-week rental with up to 3 tons of debris or green waste included. The 40-yard is $825 with up to 5 tons. Each extra ton is $135, rounded to the nearest ton, and each day past two weeks is $15.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Two weeks is included. After that it's $15 for each additional day, unless you've made other arrangements with us.

What can't go in the dumpster?

No electronics, tires or hazardous materials. Heavy loads (concrete, dirt, brick) have their own rates and a fill line, and green waste or roots can't go in a concrete or brick load.

Do you do demolition?

Yes. Eco Waste Inc. holds California contractor license #947447 (C-21, Building Moving/Demolition). Demolition, clean-ups and haul-aways are quoted case by case; labor is $65/hour basic and $95/hour foreman, with a 4-hour minimum.

What are your hours?

Which cities do you serve?

How do I pay?

Invoices are due on receipt, unless other arrangements have been made. We accept major credit cards, Zelle and checks. Card payments carry a 3% processing fee. A bag and a single-bag pickup can also be paid online at checkout.
